I've got some good stuff to see here, so I hope you'll grab some coffee or tea, get comfy, and take your time looking around, enjoy photos of my work and read about me and my work. My FAQs cover many questions by customers and friends, and offer a lot of answers! I hope you enjoy my site and even take a moment to drop me a line! I'd love to hear from you.
Since childhood, I've had the entrepreneurial spirit, from painting and selling pet rocks door-to-door in grade school, to becoming a seamstress/dressmaker in Las Vegas. I've made a career in writing... I've always been creating something, from art to words!
I've always leaned toward 3-dimensional creations, especially miniatures. When I found sculptural needle felting, I fell in absolute love with the simplicity of tools (natural wool and very sharp needles), its portability, and the endless possibilities!
The joys, creativity, and fun in life inspires me. The magnificent colors and vibrant energies of nature inspire me. Those I love, my pets, my environment, classic movies, my customers... my inspirations come from all the many incredible wonders of this world!
Thank you so much for joining me here! Whether you've met me online, in a Facebook group or social media page, or in class, I'm tickled you are visiting my website! For those of you who don't yet know me, let me introduce myself...
As the owner, designer, artist and sole proprietor of my handmade art boutique shop, Darlin Girl Creations (DGC Felt Art), my mission is to specialize in hand crafted goods made from my heart and soul. I'm focused (ok, maybe obsessed is more accurate) on unique, 100% wool, sculptural needle felted collectibles and art doll figures. Each original, one-of-a-kind piece is truly handmade, without power equipment or fancy tools, by me, from conception to final stab.
I hand select my fibers from small U.S. farms who love their animals, and use non-toxic cleaners and methods. I can't express how much I love creating with wool, with my own hands! Using only lovely, natural wool fibers, a few fragile needles, and my imagination, this art is a true labor of love that makes me smile a lot! (What could be better?)
